Nope, I am not gifted at line drawings. What I did was take someone else's line drawing, invert it and then add layers of color, texture, gradients, etc.
if you look at this gallery It shows the final piece of digital art, and also shows the piece that I started with. (and a couple of other pieces I have worked on. (note: the faerie needs a better picture to be put into, but that picture was what I had of my own, so she is temporarily resting in Huntsville State Park. haha!
